What does BASE4 Do?
There are very few days that go by that I don’t get this question, so I guess this explanation is long overdue! Here’s the short answer:
We are architects & engineers rethinking the way buildings get built. 
Our team works with developers and general contractors to rethink traditional building methods by infusing innovative technology, forward-thinking design, and offsite manufacturing principles to build projects CHEAPER and FASTER!
Projects are taking longer and costing more to build every year—especially in the aftermath of the pandemic. We believe conventional thinking only increases costs, schedules, and waste.
Business as usual is no longer good enough for us.
BASE4 Innovates to Build Better
According to McKinsey & Company, 13% of global GDP can be attributed to construction, and yet, over the last 20 years, the trillion-dollar industry’s annual productivity growth has increased merely 1%. To make matters worse, this year’s challenges have paralyzed the industry in many ways—while increasing the cost of building materials and impeding job site progress.
BASE4 is Product-Centered
Most A/E firms view design on a PROJECT basis. This always seemed odd to us. Many cities throughout America are in need of market-rate, workforce housing. Right now, every one of these buildings is being designed as a standalone PROJECT—leading to longer design/build times and higher build costs. But WHY!?
We firmly believe that the solution lies in changing to a PRODUCT rather than a PROJECT mindset—bringing standardization and manufacturing principles, which are long overdue in our sector. With this approach, we are continually optimizing the build process—each day making it cheaper, faster, and more efficient.
