LED LIGHTING DESIGN
The light bulb that has lit up our homes and businesses for over the last century is slowly becoming a thing of the past. The inefficient incandescent and mercury-containing fluorescent bulb are giving way to the much more energy efficient LED. (light-emitting diode) Breakthroughs in this industry are being made at enormous strides resulting in more affordable and available LED options to the average business and homeowner.
Recently, Base4 partnered with GenPro Lighting Solutions on a new Hampton Inn & Suites project. By switching from a traditional package including fluorescents and HIDs, we were able to save the owner an estimated $58,000 in annual electric savings – a 76% savings. Although, LEDs are slightly more expensive, the additional upfront cost will be paid off in just 15 months due to the projected electric savings. Below you will see the exterior photometrics and night-lighting rendering that was prepared for our client as part of this service.
